OUR BAKER
Hi I am Amy, my hands are behind all the creative cakes showcased here. I am a self taught home baker and decorator.
Everytime I get a question, how did you come into baking, I just look around and say, it just happened, was an accidental entry. But day by day, I get to understand that, children carry whole lot of inborn talents passed down from generation to generation. I came to know that my grandmother & great grandmothers were all fond of baking and cooking. They baked using methods which are unknown to this generation of mine. We just wow at how could they? Bcoz we are used to this modern tools and we have a feeling these are all modern day foods. Nah, not at all. And the reason why I love what I do is I owe it to my mom. Her cakes are so divine and smells heavenly. Never ever baked or learned how to bake from her, just watched her & devoured what she made. I am grateful for having her as my mom, thanking God for her.
So my baking journey started with my daughter’s 3rd birthday cake in 2013. But got into track only by 2016 and now a full time cake decorator. I had no idea of being a cake decorator even in my wildest – sweetest dreams

To be honest, when I got the call to make this cake, I had no idea what it was😄. As always my go to help for such new gen themes are my daughters. Soon my elder one said, that's Ida's( my younger daughter) favourite Anime😄. The fruit & all the toppers are handcrafted. The main one being the fruit in the centre which was the top most request by the birthday girl. After making it, got the approval of 10/10 from my girl and was ready to go on the cake. Wish I had taken a video of the birthday girl seeing her cake. Filled both her's and my heart with joy. It was well received and appreciated. Thank you Prathyusha for choosing Amy's Bake House.
